Ards Borough Council's leisure group boasts three leisure centres - Ards in Newtownards, Comber Leisure Centre and Portaferry Sports Centre - as well as a range of outdoor recreation grounds the length and breadth of the Ards Borough.

Our centres have a wide range of facilities to suit the whole family, from soft play for children to gentle aerobics for the over 60's. Momentum Fitness is available at all centres as are aerobic and fitness classes. Health Suite facilities including Sauna, Steam Room & Jacuzzi are available in Ards and Comber.

Ards is the centre for swimming, and also Exten Fitness, Whacky Whizz-ards, a Sports Hall and outdoor pitch. Comber has Dino's Den soft play, two Sports Halls, an outdoor pitch and floodlit synthetic tennis courts. Portaferry has a Sports Hall and outdoor training area. All centres run courses, parties, provide function rooms and are home to local clubs.

As for outdoor sport, our recreation grounds have facilities for soccer, hockey, tennis, bowls, putting and GAA.
